STONEHENGE LODGE, U.A.O.D.
HALF-YEARLY MEETING. OFFICERS INSTALLED. The half-yearly meeting of the Stonehenge Lodge was held last night, A. D. Bro. A. Bayne presiding over a large attendance. Visitors were present from Totara Lodge. The Bards reported on sick members and accounts amounting to £l5O were passed for payment. An invitation was extended to the lodge to be represented at the Oddfellows’ annual ball. The District President, Bro F. Pickering, reported having attended Fernleaf and Totara lodges for installing officers. He stated that he was hospitably received at both lodgea Reports were received from the captain of the. card team, delegates to Dispensary Board, and the social committee. The secretaries of the committee presented a statement of the annual baR. It was decided t<j apply to the Grand Lodge to open a Royal Arch Chapter. Bro. F. Pickering reported that he had attended the jubilee banquet of the Oddfellows’ Lodge. The officers of the lodge were installed into their respective positions by DJP. Bro. Pickering, assisted by P.D.P. Bro. F. Hartman, as Master of Ceremonies. The officers returned thanks for their election. A vote of appreciation was passed to the District President for the very able manner in which he had carried out the installation ceremonies. A presentation of a Past Arch Collar and Diploma was made to P.A. Bro. J. W. Smith for having passed through the chairs. D.P. Bro. Pickering, on behalf of the lodge, congratulated Bro Smith. It was decided to form a social club and games of cards and quoits will be held on lodge nights. A social evening took place at the conclusion of business.
