NEW SPECIFIC FOR DIABETES. LONDON, April 21. The “Daily Telegraph’s” nerlin correspondent states that at the Congress cf Surgeons Professor Von Noorden, of Frankfort, will announce that he will shortly demonstrate a new preparation called Horment, as a substitute for insulin. It is cheaper, and can bo taken in pills instead of injections. He said that after experiments on animals from which the pancreas had been removed and sugar counteracted, horment was tried with complete success in humans.-—(A. and N.Z)
