HALF-HOLIDAY ISSUE.
MEETING OF CARTERTON SATURDAY SUPPORTERS. A large meeting of Saturday halfholiday supporters, including a good number of employers, was held in Carterton last evening to make arrangements for polling day. Mr A'. Phillpotts presided, and Mr V. E. Fairbrother was elected secretary. It was reported that Grey town and Featherston were not taking a poll on the half-holiday question, and hopeful reports were received from <he Masterton Committee. Offers of errs for polling day, and of financial assistance, were received/and committees were set up to ensure electors recording their votes. A further meeting will be held to-night, x
