A MOUNTAIN MISHAP.

ACCIDENT TO Wi\LLINGTON TR AMPER. LEVIN, April 19. Advice was received at Leyin this afternoon that a mishap had befallen a party of Victoria College students—four men and four women—who left Shannon on Friday with the intention of traversing the Mangahao and Ohau valleys through the Tararuas to Levin. Search parties organised by Mr. G. L. Adkin and Dr. Thompson immediately set out and found the trampers at about 1.30 p.m. One of the men, named Beaglehole, had fallen and sustained a severe dislocation of the shoulder. After he had received medical attention, the return journey was made, the party reaching Levin this evening. The river had risen in the meantime, necessitating the use of a rope to cross in several places.—(P.A.)
