The North Island tennis tourney was concluded to-day, except the i.ien’r singles, in fine but windy weather. The championship results are as follow:— MEN’S DOUBLES. L. and D. I'ranee beat M. L. Lampe and E. B. W. Smyth. 6/1, 6/4, 3/6, 1/6. 6/4. LADIES’ DOUBLES. Mrs. Penlington and Miss Travers baat Miss A. Howe and Hiss L. Hobson, 6/2, 6/2. MIXED DOUBLES. Semi-final.—N. R. C. Wilson and Mrs W. J. Melody beat Dr. Park and Miss Travers, 6/1, 6/3; T. Rhodes Williams and Miss M. Prcedv beat D. G. France and Miss A. Howe, 'l/6, 7/5, 6/3. After being down 1/5 and 0/40 in tho second set of the final, Wilson and Mrs Melody beat Rhodes Williams and Miss Preedy, 6/4, 6/4. GIRLS’ SINGLES. Miss D Howe beat Miss N. Bell, 6/2, 5/6, 8/6. BOYS’ SINGLES. Roy Howe beat B. J. Pringle, 1/6, 6/3, 6/4. GIRLS’ DOUBLES. Won by Misses N. Bell and Z. Castle. BOYS’ DOUBLES. Won by Max Ferkins and Max Mitchell.—(P.A.)
