# CARTERTON SALE. Wright, Stephenson and Co*., Ltd., report: We offered a fair yarding of sheep, cattle and pigs to the usual aL tendance. , There was very little dt? maud for pigs and we had to pass in most of our pens as vendors’ reserves were above buyers' ideas of value. Our sheep entry comprised mostly m.a. ewes, which mot with a dull sale. Lambs sold well. Cattle sold on a par with lute rates. Following arc our prices:—Al.A. ewes 9/6 to 12/-, cull ewes 5/- to 7/-, w.f. lambs (small). 7/t 6 9/-, b.f. lambs (small) 8/-, S.D. rams (m.a.) 2 to 4J-gns, store cows 31/- to £2, ! forward cows £3 6/- to £3 10/-. 24-year steers (coloured) £2 10/- to £3 5/-.

Palgety and Co., Ltd., report on the above sale as follows:—A fair yarding of sheep, eatth*"'and pigs was submitted to the usual attendance of buyers. Competition was lifeless through out the sale, but a largo portion of the entry changed hands at the following prices:—Mixed .aged ewes 13/6 to 15/S, forward b.f. lambs 17/9, b.f. 2-tooth 20/-, 4;-year bullocks £B, fat cows £4 2/-, store'cows 31/- to £3 5/-, weaner pigs 7/6 to 10/-.

The Wairarapa Farmers' Co-opera-tive Association (Stock Department) report that a fair yarding of sheep and cattle came forward and were offered to the usual attendance. The bidding was dull throughout. Prices: 50 f.m. ewes 10/-, 70 b.f. lambs (.small) 11/-, 23 Rom lambs 8/2, 37 w.f. lambs 9/-, (Southdown rams Signs, 3fgns to 4jgns. Cattle: Fat cows £3 14/- to £5 10/-, do., heifers £5 5/-,. store cows 20/-, 30/-, to £3, 8 dairy yearling steers 38/-, heifers do. £2, bull 10/-. Pigs: Weaners 8/-. 8/6, 9/6, 10/6, 11/6, 13/- to 16/-, 1 sow and litter £5 10/-. Sundries at late rates. * '
