MOTOR SHOW.
BIGGEST IN BRITISH HISTORY. IMPROVED CARS. LONDON, October 24. The Motor Show at Olympia is the biggest in Britain’s history. Already 200,000 cars have been sold by agents, valued at £40,000,000. It is anticipated that the closing will see the year’s output from* mass-production factories booked up. The show is strikingly international. Every make of Britain, America, Canada, France, Austria and Belgium is shown, representing 98 manufacturers. In addition, 63 body-builders are showing.
British design is by no means revolutionary, though there are many modifications. Half-elliptic suspension predominates, overhead valves are more numerous, and four-wheeled brakes are universal. The chassis is generally lighter, better arranged, and neater.-— (A., and N.Z.)
