MASTEBTON STOCK SALE. Dalgcty and Company Limited report on the above sale as follows;, A good entry of sheep was submitted to a large attendance of buyers. Competition was keen for hoggets, but for ewes and lambs there was only a limited demand. Following u the rang! -jt prices: fw with b.f. lambs at foot, 27/6 to 29/1; fat b.f. 2-ths, 23/6; fat ewes, 20/9. The New Zealand Farmers’ Co-op. Distributing Co., Ltd., report:. We offered a good yarding to a good attendance of buyers. Competition was keen, especially for hoggets, and we made a tetal clearance at, the following prices: Aged ewes with b.f. lambs at foot, 29/2; medium ewe hoggets, 23/3; wether hoggets, 19/6; shorn fat ewes, 20/; light woolly fat wethers, 29/1; store do., 26/6, voaler calves, £2; light fat cows, £5; springing cows, £5 7/6; stere cows, 30/ to £2/; weaner pigs, 24/, 24/6, 25/, 26/ to 26/6. The Wairarapa Farmers’ Co-opera-tive Association (Stock Department) report that a full yarding of all classes of sheep came forward, cur offering comprising about 1000 head, principally good hoggets. The sale attracted a good attendance of buyers from all parts of the district, the recant beneficial rains being responsible for a much improved tone in the market. Best woolly ewe hoggets made up to 27/2, medium sorts 23/6 to 25/6; best woolly hoggets, 22/8, medium do. 19/9. Seven hundred and thirty-six hoggets specially advertised on account of Mr. Owen Ilefferon averaged 22/2 per head. Other sales were: 60 fat wethers, 30/6; 41 f.m.
