HERD-TESTING.

MARTINBOROUGH ASSOCIATION. OPERATIONS TO CONTINUE. At a meeting of the Martinborough Herd-testing Association held on Thursday, Mr A. W. George presiding, it was decided to continue operations. At present there were twenty-one herds, with a total of 1250 cows, being tested. There were vacancies for five additional ho-ds, and there was every prospect that those would bo filled. Mr F. Farley was appointed herd“■evting officer. Operations for the ensuing year will commence on September 1. FEATHERSTON ASSOCIATION. ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Featherston Herd-testing Association was held yesterday Mr E. E. O’Neale presiding. The financial position was considered exceedingly satisfactory, there being a considerable surplus. It was 'proposed to make a rebate to members of the major portion of the sum. Mr E. E. O’Neale was elected chairman, and the same committee as last year, with the addition of Mr L. A. Wrigley, were elected.
