THE HARRIERS.
CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS A committee meeting of the Masterton Harrier Club was field; last evening, Mr. L. Emery presiding. Accounts amounting to £1 10/- were passed for payment. A letter was received from 1 the Wanganui Club stating that they would be visiting Masterton on August 7, and extending an invitation for a. return visit on August 21. The following officials were appointed for the cross country championships:—Judges: Messrs. I. Cameron, G. Shaw, E. Strouts, A. E. Vare, H. Saunders and A. Dolan; starter, Mr JI. Hunter; time-keepers, Messrs. JI Bradbury, L. S. Nicol, C. Smith; recording stewards, Messrs. G. McKay,. W. J. Candy, J. Kitchener, J. Hunter; number stewards, Messrs. W. Ross,. E. Law; track supervisor, Mr. J. Hunter; track stewards, Messrs L. Emery, B. Parnell, A. Percy, L. Arnold, C. Boss;: protest committee, Messrs. W. JI Candy, G. McKay, J. Hunter, J. Kitchener;- trail layers, Messrs. L. Emery, J; Kitchener.
It was decided tty entertain the visitors to afternoon tea and' a dance in the evening.
Mr. H. Orman was elected! secretary of the Social Committee.
