MISSION WORK IN CHINA.
ADDRESSES AT KNOX HALL. An unfortunate mishap to Mr H. H. Conway deprived the meeting in Knox Hall last evening on the China-Inland Mission of considerable interest. Mr Conway was to have been the principal speaker, but he broke down in health while attending a meeting in Wellington' and was medically advised not to travel. The Rev. G. S. King, who presided, apologised for the absence of the mis sioner and stated that the other three members of the party Aould speak in his place. As the speakers are going to China for the first time their addresses were confined to dealing with the call they had received and the training gone through in preparation for their great work.
