A KING AMBUSHED.
BUT ESCAPES UNHURT. (Received 7.45 p.m.) SOFIA, April 15.—A motor car in which King Boris of Bulgaria was travelling to Sofia was ambushed outside the city by an Agraro-Communist band, which fired a fusillade at the car, killing two attendants and wounding the chauffeur. His Majesty escaped uninjured. Troops are scouring the countryside in search of the assailants. This is the second outrage which has occurred near Sofia recently. In the first General Gheorghieff, a member of the Chamber and leader of the movement to overthrow the Stambouliski Government, was assassinated outside his residence.—(A. and N.Z.)
