TOP PRICE FOR WAIRA*RAPA

CHRISTCHURCH, March 20.—At the ram fair to-day there was a very free sale for quality stuff stud rams of practically all breeds. A record for the fair was established in the Corriedale section, a 4-shear ram sold by I. Andrew (Waihao Downs), and bought by J. Stringfellow (Greytown) making 22Qgns. A second Corriedale sold at lOOgns. Other top prices were: English Leicester 95gns, Border 42$gns, Romney 25gns, Southdown 50gns, and tShropshire 27$gns.

Southdowns were bought for Wanganui and South Otago, and Borders for Otago.—(P-A.)
