SOOTH WAHURAPA fIQB. Rifle Shooting. The competition for the Wakely and McTaggart Cups, under t'ho auspices of the Featherston Defence Rifle Club, has been concluded. The Wakely Cup has been won by Rfm. L. G. Benton with a score of 784 points, Rfm. T. Benton being second 776, and Rfm. K. McKenzie 769. The McTaggart CCup was won by Rfm. T. Benton 793, Rfm. L. G. Benton 784 being second, and Rfm. W. Johnson 782, third. The handicap aggregate was won by Rfm. R. F. Watson, 794. Supplementary Roll. The supplementary roll of the Carterton Borough closes on March 31. Annual Meeting. The annual meeting of the Dalefield Football Club will be held in the local hall this evening. Presentation. The members of the Carterton Cricket and Hockey Clubs made a presentation of a set of carvers to Mr George W. Jaquiery, to mark the oocasion of his marriage. Weddings. The marriage took place at St. Mark’s Church, Carterton, yesterday, of Miss Blanche Flood, to Mr George W*. Jaquiery. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. R. Young, vicar of the parish. George-Biddle, of Daleficld, was married to Miss Maisie MeGarvie, daughter of Mr and Mrs MeGarvie, -Moreton road, Carterton. After the reception, the bridal couple left on their henevmoon tour in the south.
