LONDON, March 16.—-Thome has been sentenced to death for the murder of Elsie Cameron.

LONDON, March 16.—Mr Justice Finlay, summing up in the Thorne case, said there was no question of law. The whole question was whether the prisoner' deliberately inflicted the injuries. If there was any real doubt in the jury’s mind as Jo how Miss Cameron died it would be their duty to acquit the prisoner. The jury was absent for half an hour and returned with a verdict of guilty.—(Reuter.)
