A QUANDARY.
COURT WITHOUT PRESIDENT. WEST AUSTRALIAN IMPABBB. PERTH, Mar. 12.—The resignatioa of Mr Justice Burnside as president of the Arbitration Court leaves tho Government without a president of that institution, both Justices Draper and Morthmore having previously resigned. The Act states that the president must be a Judge of the Supreme Court. Mr McCallum (Minister of Labour) says that the Legislative Council, by its obstinate attitude towards the Government policy as contained in the amending arbitration bill, which provided for a president outside the Supreme Court, had created a niee kettle of fish.—(P.A.)
