LABOUR BUREAU’S SURPRISE.

SYDNEY, Dec. 15.—1 n the High Court the overseas shipping companies withdrew their application for an injunction against the strikers. The abolition of the Shipping Labour Bureau came as a complete surprise to the members of the bureau, as they wore shortly applying for the registration of the bureau as a union. A meeting of the members is to be held at the week end to consider tho position.—(P.A.)

PERTH, Dec. 15.—The local , seamen’s dispute is still unsettled. When the Orama arrived ffrom England she was unable to enter the harbeur as the tugs were still out of commission.
