OBITUARY.

MRS W. J. TENNENT. There passed away at her residence, Essex street, yesterday afternoon, Katherine Jessie, wife of Mr W. J. Tennent. Mrs Tennent was the daughter of the late Thomas Kesteven, who arrived in the Dominion with his wife and family in the year 1853, and settled first at Akaroa, and later at Workingham station, on the Waimakariri, North Canterbury. She was married in 1881, and had three daughters and three sons. The daughters are Miss Edith Tennent, of the Wellington Hospital; Mrs G. M. Cleghorn, Dunedin, and Miss Sybil Tennent. The surviving sons are H. E. Tennent, Takapau and O. K. Tennent, of the Bank of Australasia, Auckland. K. W. Ten. ent was killed in action at Passchendaele on October 4th, 1917.
