A BRIGHT FUTURE AHEAD. INCREASE YOUR FLOCKS. London, May B.—Sir A. H. Goldfinch entertained a distinguished company of over 100 representatives of Australia and New Zealand and the Yorkshire wool trade, to celebrate the successful termination of the Imperial wool purchase scheme. Sir A. H. Goldfinch paid a tribute to the co-operation of Australia and New Zealand when the Empire in wartime needed their wool. There was no haggling over prices for the Imperial purchase, and the Dominion Governments, wool and the people were willing to do everything for the national good. Looking at the future he desired to declare with the utmost deliberation the importance of increasing the world’s sheep population. There was no business in the world in which capital could be invested with greater certainty of profitable return than in sheep farming. Such development, while advantageous to investors in Australia and New Zealand, would render great service to Biitain, which was threatened with a serious wool shortage.—(A. and N.Z.j
