THE DIGGERS.
“TIP TOP” REVUE. The Diggers can truly claim that they have established themseives warm favourites, for, notwithstanding counter attractions last night, and the number of shows booked for the week, they played to a capacity house. From start to finish the show effervesced with dean, bright fun. With years of experience the new “Tip Top” revue, carries the hall-mark ot excellence. The old faces of Gus Dawson, Frank Moran, and Stan. Lawson were as popular as ever, while the chief fun producer, Joe Valli, proved the test of a true comedian by having the audience in his hands without uttering a -word. A big assistance in the comedy was Frank Moran, who stood in contrast to the dimunitive Scotchman. The versatile Gus Dawson has found a new simultaneous dance whicn he executed with machine-like precision with his able partner, Eily Dalgleish and with Diana Tabor, a new acquisition to the company. Other new members of the Diggers are Stewart Grant, a rich baritone, and Emilie Dani, a lady billed as the “Glory Girl” who sang the “Lost Chord” and “The Rosary” pleasingly. The sketches were well up to the standard, of previous shows and bubbled with mirth.
