OBITUARY.
MRS MARGARET O’BRIEN. There passed peacefully away yesterday afternoon, at the residence of her son-in-law (Mr D. F. Thurston, | Lincoln, road), an old resident of Taranaki—Margaret O’Brien —relict of | James O’Brien, of Patea, in her 75th year. Deceased came to New Zealand ' when 16 years of age and went to live in New Plymouth, where she was married. Later on she went to Patea, where she resided until about eight years ago. Since then she has ! made her home with her daughter in Masterton. About six months ago she was stricken down, and has been practically bedridden ever since. Be- • sides a large circle of friends in Patea ! she has endeared herself to many in ' Masterton, who will regret to hear' of her death. Deceased leaves a grown-up family of one son (Mr W. O’Brien, of Lower Kokatau, Hokitika) and five daughters (Mrs J. Power, Patea ; Mrs R. Sinclair, Wfin-1 ganui; Mrs R. Cassidy, Napier, and Mrs D. F. Thurston and Mrs T. B. | Fox, of Masterton) to mourn their ■: loss. The funeral will leave the Catholic Church to-morrow (Wednes- • day) afternoon at 3.30.
