ANGORA REJECTS TREATY
NEW DEMANDS ON ALLIES. EARLY REPLY REQUESTED. Constantinople, March. B.—Official The Angora Assembly, by a large majority, has rejected the Lausanne Treaty, and is demanding a Mosul settlement within a fixed period; full safeguards for Turkey’s vital rights; independence in the financial, econ - mic, and administrative domains; and the immediate evacuation of the occupied Turkish territories upon the signature of peace. The decision, which wipes out all the work at Lausanne and. demands new negotiations based on further con cession*, was reached at the end of a heated 12-hour debate. A Noto has been sent to the Allies requesting an early reply. ISMET EMPOWERED TO ACT. Paris, March B.—The. Foreign Office announces that 3smet Has been given full power by Angora to continue negotiations.
