TECHNICAL SCHOOL.

MEETING OF MANAGERS. A meeting of the Technical School Board of Managers was held last night, members present being Messrs Coradine, Daniell, Eton, Grundy, Blackman, ana Krahagen. Mr Coradine was in the chair. A letter was read from the Education Department with reference to the appointment of an additional full-time teacher. It was resolved that the director go to Wellington to interview the Departmental officers on the matter.

The financial statement showed a credit in the current account of £370 8s 2d; fixed deposit £9OO. Accounts and salaries amounting to £209 10s 9d Were passed for payment. A large sum is outstanding on account of fees payable by students for tuition received this year, and the director was instructed to take steps to recover such fees.

A committee consisting of Messrs Coradine and Daniell, and the Director was appointed, with power to act, to go into the matter of alterations and additions to the building and equipment for next year. These comprise, painting of main building enlargement of office, installing a more effiicent heating system, adapting a room for practical science, and providing lights for engineering workshop.
