FREEZING WEIGHTS.

(To the Editor.) Sir, — During my experience, which covers a period of 30 years, as a grower of fat stock in the Wairarapa, I have never yet known buyers, or freezing companies, to reduce the weight of prime wethers down to 561bs. It has always been the custom to consider a 601 b wether a prime animal. Do the farmers of the district realise what this reduced weight means to them? This is just as important to the farmer as shipping charges and should be discussed at the meeting to be held in Masterton on Tuesday.—l am. etc., J. FOREMAN. Greytown, Dee. 9, 1921.
