FAILURE OF A GERMAN BANK.
(Received 7.15 p.m.) Berlin, Dec. 8. —Palatinate Credit Bank has failed. It was one of the best-known in Southern Germany. It is believed that the depositors will not suffer, as, apart from the bank’s big business reserves, the Deutsche and Rhenish banks propose to cover the depositors. The failure was due to the manager speculating in marks. —(A. and N.Z.)
