It is rather curious that two countries so closely associated as Australia and New Zealand should see so little of each other officially. It is many years since a New Zealand Premier visited Australia, and the Commonwealth has never sent its Prime Minister on an official visit to New Zealand. The tariff negotiations might afford a suitable opportunity for inviting Mr Hughes to pay a few weeks ’ visit to the Dominion. „
