RED STAR CLUB.
ANNUAL BALL. The annual ball of the Red Star Football Club took place in the Masterton Municipal Hall /last night. There was a large attendance, despite the inclement weather, and the function proved a decided success. The music was supplied by McKenzie’s orchestra, extras being played by Miss Braggins, ; and Messrs A. Jackson, B. Andrews, and H. Hood. The masters of ceremony were Messrs J. W. Henderson, J. Scott, F-. McEwen, and V. Sher bourne, while T. Flaws and J. Clarke efficiently carried out the secretarial duties. Messrs J. Yates, V. Flaws, and R. Shackleton were in, charge of the soft drinks, The supper room was very tastefully decorated in the (dub’s colours (black and red), the scheme being carried out by Mrs D. White. Mrs G. Barr had charge of the decoration of the tables. Miss I. Shackleton had charge of the supper arrangements, with the assistance of the following committee :—Mesdame-s R. J. Southgate, J. W. Henderson, T. Flaws. D. White, J. O. Pinhey, F. Slater. A. Donaldson. E. Freeman, Hopkins, G. Barr, W. Blinkhorne, and the Misses L. Dodds, Staines, L. Shackleton, and A. Golder. Dancing was continued under ideal conditions until an early hour, this morning.
