It is understood that the British Government has put on sale in New York, a large quantity of Australian and New Zealand lamb and mutton. The; prices are respectively Bixteen three-quarters and twelve and a half centa per pound wholesale, the current prces being thirty and twentyfour cents. It is indicated that this ia being done in order to relieve the congestion of the meat stores in Great Britain, where there are some vessels carrying Australian meats which are unable to unload.
