THE BOY SCOUTS.
The Masterton Boy Scouts, with an admirable spirit of patriotism, intend making an excursion to Mt. Holdsworth early next month, with a view to putting the track in order and repairing the mountain house. The boys are without tents or appliances, but are appealing to the public to provide them with the necessary outfit. We feel sure that there will be a prompt and generous response to this appeal. Mt. Holdsworth is one of the attractions of the district, and should bo regarded by the business community as an asset to the town. The Boy Scouts are rendering a loyal public service in devoting their holidays to a work of practical utility, and they should recoive every encouragement in their enterprise.
