THE BUTCHERS' STRIKE
FURTHER DEVELOPMENTS.
(Jjy Telegraph—Press Association) AUCKLAND, Last Night. Another development ha? occurred in connection with the butchers' strike, as the result of the cessation of work by the slaughtermen. Instructions were given for the release of frozen meat at Southdown to supply future needs of the city. This meat is the property of the Imperial Government, but there are standing instructions that it may b© drawn upon if required for local needs. The freezing hands, however, decliticd to shift the meat for the Auckland market, and quitted TTle premises. This difficulty was overcome by the clerks and department heads undertaking to Bhift the meat into trucks, and no difficulty it> expetced it) obtaining supplies from this Bouree.
