OFFERS BY GOVERNMENT.

The National Union of Railwaymen's executive conferred with the ■Premier, who presented the Government's analysis of the Union's wage demands. Mr. Thomas states that the Government's figures will he examined before a reply is given, and adds that the Government has offered a new body to deal with railway disputes, including representatives of the genera] public. It also offers the Union certain representation on the committee that is managing the railways.
