ACCIDENT TO JOCKEY
AN EXAGGERATED REPORT.
CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. The report from the hospital on Wednesday regarding the injuries received by F. W. Ellis through a fall from Mandrake in the Randolph Handicap at Riccarton was very wide of the mark. The only injuries he suffered were a. slight fracture of the skull and a broken collarbone. He is progrossing well, and has been conscious since the evening of the accident, and to-night is reported to be well on the way to jocovwy. _
