MONTHLY MEETING. D The monthly meeting of the Masterton Trust Lands Trust was held last evening. Present: Messrs C. E. Daniell "(in.the chair), E. Krahagen, T. Michell, C. A. Cumming, W. T. Grundy,.and E. G. Eeton. The Masterton Progressive League wrote, asking the Trustees to attend a public meeting called for the pur pose of arriving at a dofmito conclusion with regard to the proposed higher education scheme.
Mr. F. M, Jenkins wroto ro the purchase of a pair of aeroplane propellers for the Museum. —Declined with thanks.
A letter was received from S. G. Prosser informing the Trustees that ho had passed in certain subjects at the term examinations. —Referred to Education Committee.
Mr. J. Hookings applied, on behalf of the Seventh Day Adventists, for the use of certain sections for their annual 1 encampment.—lt was decided to grant the request. Tho reports of the Education and, Finance Committees were read and adopted, on the motion of the chairman. A motion moved by Mr. R. Krahagen, to the effect that the fishponds site was the most suitable for the proposed High School, was defeated. Mr. Eton such a motion was quite outside the province of the Trust.
