FARMERS' WHEAT

deputation to Minister. A Wairarapa deputation, consisting of Messrs Hugh Morrison, A. McDonald and the secretary of the Wheat Committee (Mr Morgan), waited upon the Hon. W. I). 9. Mac Donald, Minister of Agriculture, yesterday with regard to tho question of sacks and the storage of wheat. The Minister stated that instructions wero to be given the millers that they must purchase the maximum amount of wheat required for Season and arrange their own storage. Any wheat left on the hands of farmere, over amd above that required by the millers, the Government was quite prepared to pay up to a half-penny per bushel per month for storage. Mr Mac Donald expressed the opinion that tho increased price received by farmers for late wheat would more than compensate them for storage losses. Tho Minister promised to go into the question of sacks and wire the secretary tho result of his investigations.
