PURCHAfeII- BY The Prime MinisteV (Bigtht Hon, W. F. Massey) stated to a "Post'' representative yesterday : —"The Go* vernment have purchased for the purpose of soldier settlenient tho property in Otago known aa Teviot, consisting of 12,500' acres freehold and 19,000 acres Crown leasehold. The greater part of it will be cut up into shejp rarms. A considerable portion is suitable fo" igricultural purposes, and good ' '-ops have been grown on '.the property during the present season. . A small proportion will be suitable ior fruit-* growing. This is looked upon as one of the best of'the large holdings now remainJfig in the South Island."
