PROVING A SUCCESS. ('Received Last Night, 11.50 o'clock.) LONDON", Nov. 1. The new British steel helmet' is proving a success. It prevents wounds from hand granules, shell splinters, and shrapnel. In ono section of trenches Hie helmets saved thirty men. They are worn over Balaclava caps, an<l tha men resemble Crusaders.
