Mr and Mrs R. R. Dawson, of Raetiln,, are spending a short hoiday in Masterton
Mr John Drummond has been a visitor to Masterton during the Christmas holidays. Mr John Fairbairn, who is well-knotnr-iu the-Wairarapa, has sold his «-,!? St in the Occidental, Hotel at Wellington to Mr Charles Aldridge. The marriage took place in St Matthew's Church, Masterton, on Saturday, of Mr Jack Delicate, second son of Mr. J. Delicate, of Durham City, England,: to Mis., Alice Briden, third daughter of Mr. J. C. Briden, of Masterton. Tho ceremony was performed by the Rev H. Watson. -Mr Gillet, of Blenheim, was best man. The bride who was attended by her .mister, Mk§ Florence Briden, and was given away by her father, was attired in a navy taHormade costume and white lace hat veiled w'th white ninon. The bridesmaid wore a blue silk crepe-de-chine dresi, with hat to match. Among the numerous presents received were several cheques. The happy couple lett for Wa«ganui, where the honeymoon us to be spent.
