A serious attswk was made by a huildog on a littl > girl at Lincoln on Frid-ty 3 afternoon, about # o'clock. 1 |i0;.,0 in the vicinity of the store iverc ; lurmed by tho heartrending cries of the little # girl, v/lio, whilst riding a l>tc:\elQ past"the store, was set upon by tiio. bulldog, which charged her and attempted t> drag her off the bieye'e. The- girl was between ten and twelve years of age, arid at. onto juncture she had to put her leg- nji the .itaiulle bars to escape th- j , attacks of tho clog. The people, who were alarmed by the girl's cries, pulled the dog off, otherwise she might have com© to serious harm. The dog chased her for three, or four chains, and if it had not been driven off, it is almost certain it would have torn the child from the bicycle. The dog is said to charge all cyclists, and is a«menace to the safety of people riding bievcles.
