LAND SALE.
WOODCLYFFE ESTATE. Messrs Dalgety .and Co., Ltd., report having hold an important subdivision sale of L. Hitchings' Woodclyffe estate, Levin, at Levin Town Hall, on Wednesday, 19th inst. The property being an excellent one, and well known throughout the district, considerable interest was taken in the sale, and the attendance was largo. The -majority of the property is heavy land, originally bush, well grassed, and admirably adapted for fattening and dairying. It is just fivo minutes from Levin by good metal road. The property had been carefully subdivided and was offered in eight blocks, ranging from 54 to 183 acres. At the sale, and under the hammer, four out of the eight blockri were sold under keen competition. The sale was a genuine one in every way, as is shown by the fact that the sections with buildings erected thereon —section 5 of 183 acres, with Mr Hitchings' house, and section 4 of 89 acres, with the manager's house and woolshed —were both disposed of. A number of private inquiries are already in for the four sections unsold, and as the reserves of these are in every way reasonable, a speedy clearance is anticipated.
