A J- « £'lA /-An . ~„J "'••vsidloan or may sounu colorable. When it is spread over the whole borough it is not as large as it may seem. For ourselves, we would rather than ;hAve;.a-joint sch©nie for and drainage. •. That 1 , liow'6vei , ) seems practicable at the moment, life will, we apprehend, have-"no hesitation in approving a loan for £16,500. As the Mayor pointed out, it may not ,be found necessary to take up the whole of the money. It is well, "however, that the Cduncil should ask for more than it requires than for a sum which would be insufficient to carry out the work that is contemplated.
