WAIRARAPA v. WELLINGTON. The following is the Wairarapa team to play Wellington, at Masterton, on Saturday next: —Full back, A. Tait; three-quarters, W. Darvijl, H. Matson, K. Strang; five-eighths, C. Groube, G. Ross; half, F. Ball; forwards, F. Brongh, N. Johnson, C. Ross, H. McKenzie, J. Clarke, A. Hodge, A. Desmond, D. Ross. Emergencies : Back, E. Mason; forwards, 9. Dixon, Wishaw, What may be considered the match of the season as far as the Wairarapa is concerned, is down for Saturday next. The game will be played on the old show grounds, and should attract a record crowd. The ground is just an the hard side, and would be all the better for a shower of rain. The local team is the same as that which defeated Wanganui last week, and should otrip in splendid form. The Wellington team will be slightly altered from that which played in the South Island but a strong representative combination will make the trip. It is some-time since the Wairarapa team defeated the Wellington reps., but this season there are not a few who expect to see the greens come out on One fact seems assured, and that is that a fast and interesting game will result. This match will conclude the series of rep. matches in the Wairarapa, as the match with Bush will not eventuate. A victory over Wellington would be a very fitting termination to one of the most successful seasons experienced in local Rugby for some years.
