AVON DALE RACES. (/By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Last Night. The Avondal© Jockey Club's spring meeting was concluded yesterday in splendid weather. The course was again in fine order, and there was a very large attendance. The totalisator staff handled against £20,705 on the corresponding day last year, making a total for the meeting of £*H>,9OH, as against £36,32H last year. There were two aocidents during the afternoon. Heyboy fell in the Steeples and McKinnoHj the rider, was badly shaken, and C. Scott, the rider of Rouge Dragoon, who fell in the Hurdles, sustained a broken arm. Results:— Kingsland Hurdles. —Watchchain 1, Merrimax 2, Yestal 3. Nursery Handicap.—Castalia. 1,.
