THE NORWOODS.

To-night, at the Town Hall, Professor Norwood will commence a threenights' season of mystery and laughter. Masterton theatre-goers retain pleasant recollections of the Norwoods on the occasion of their last visit

here. A critic says: —"Professor Norwood is a genius. To the theatregoer he is what tlie gun is to the earth. The electricity otszes out, as it were, from his finger-tips, and imparts warmth and vigour to his audience) producing sunshine and showers in happy (alternation. He says himself that it is the power of suggestion or impulse. It may he either or both. It is something, and the more one inquires into that something, the more bewildered he becomes. The sight of a dozen, strong energetic men surrendering their will power to the Professor, and then per- | forming antics which would put a circus clown to shame, is simply indescribable Miss Winifrid Norwood was responsible for a remarkable performance while under hypnotic influence, performing wonderful feats of mental telepathy at the suggestion by several members of the audience Tlie audience laughed so heartily for two and a half hours, that the consequences in some cases iray Ue serious. Anyhow, the Professor, though taking - all care, apparently accepts no r»* | sponsibility in this connection." At j 4 o'clock this afternoon, Professor J Norwood will execute his famous I "Blindfold Hypnortio Drive." The ( performance will start at the post office, several leading citizens forming a committee to assist in this mystic event. To-morrow (Tuesday) Professor Norwodd will induce a young man to play a piano for four hours, while under the influence of hypnotism. This feat will l>e exhibited in a shop window in Queer Street. Seats may be reserved at the Dresden. \
