FIRE ALARM
An alarm of fire, was sounded in :i half-hearted fashion on the Masterton firebel 1 at 1.1 •! o'clock this morniwg. The bell either could not, or would not, awaken the inhabitants. The Firri Brigade turned out promptly, and proceed'ed in the direction of a reflection to the north-west of the town. It was a blaze, amd that was all. Probably a heap of rubbish was on fire. 'No lives were lost. There wa?> no insurance. And the Brigade went back to bed.
