THE HIRED WRITER.
Thy Opposition journal in Wellington, which ha.s, in two or three of its recentissues, .attacked tho Hon! K. M. B. Fisher with shameless viudictivene&s, published the following in its issue of yesterday:—■ "There is . . . no hired position on the press more despised than that of writers who are content to earn a living by the contemptible process of assailing and systematically disparaging jhe deputations of public men, vilifying their good names', and even blackening their domestic, lives and relations at the dictation of an unscrupulous employer who is Milling to pay liberally "if the detestable ■work is effectively done.
