The secretary of the New Zealand Country Racing Clubs wrote "forwarding a report of 'the meeting of the executive. —Received.. The secretary of the New Zealand! Racing Conference wrote referring to the duties of the stipendiary stewards and also the names of those appointed to the position. Mr Arthur Paape, .secretary of thd N.Z. Sports Protection League wrote stating that a meeting of the League would .be. held in Masterton on -February .'l9th, for the purpose of forming a branch in Masterton. It was decided that Mr C. F. Vallance be appointed to act in conjuno* tion -with Mr D. He did not think that if the Cup were raised to £2OO it would result in any more nominations, being received.
