FARMERS UNION
A well-attended meeting of farmer.* was held in the Longbush, Schoolroom last Friday jiight. The orga.nisev (Mr Hebenton) addressed the meeting.at some length, .giving- a fiwnmarjf of- w^St chtkl. '"" "•-.._ ' ' Messrs Blundelf and Nathan., were elected a local committee to aot ift conjunction with the Gladstone committee, to s attend to the affairs of the district. Mr Blmiclell was elected a.s the representative to the contra! organising executive. Mr Bhrndell invited the members to have the next meeting at the end of February at his residence, when Mr Broadbent will introduce a discussion on sheep-farming, and Mr Bannister on dairy-farming.
