THE AGRICULTURAL SCHOOL
CONFERENCE IN MASTERTON.
It is proposed to hold a conference in Masterbon in thecourse of a few wteeks, between the Wairarapa members of the WeMkigitoji Education 'Board, and representative® of the various local (bodies interested, to discuss the question of an agricultural school in the Wairarapa. It is prabalMe that, 'besides the Trusit Lands Trustee® and agricultural societies of the district, the Borough GouncaJls and Chambers of Commerce may he asked to send delegates to the conference, so that the fall weight of the district -4nay be brought to hear in any project wihich may be decided upon. Information is heing obtained," 'in she; meantime, from Hawkesibury College. (N.S.W.), Lincoln College and other agricultural institution®.
The Carterton News, dealing editeriaiJly with the resolution adopted by the Wellington, Education Board, Bays:—"An agricultniral ; .school with sufficient land of its owaa,..attached to it to enable practical instruction (and experiments to he carried oxit, would benefit not only this district fcut the. Dominion at large. The contemplation of the proposal opens up very wide possibilities indeed, and it will, we believe, receive very warm, support 'from the Agricultural and Plastoral Societies of the district, and of all interested" in the development 'of our main asset— the land." -
