HOSPITAL BOARD CHAIRMAN.

Mr E. G. Eton has been reelected to the position of Chairman of the Wairarapa District Hospital Board, a position which he tilled last year with great success. The Board's business does not necessitate many meetings per year, and for that reason a considerable amount of responsibility devolves upon the Chairman alone, whose actions are ratified by the Board at the various meetings. Last year Mr Eton did very good service to the district in connection with the opposition shown by the local bodies to the Hospitals and Charitable Aid Bill, and in other ways demonstrated his fitness for the office he has been re-elected to.
