GALE IN WELLINGTON.

By Telegraph—Pre33 Association. WELLINGTON, September 10. A fierce northerly gale prevailed in Wellington throughout most of to-day, accompanied by rainstorms in the morning. No particular damage is reported, except a slight subsidence of the small wharf at Rona Bay. The training ship Amakoura parted from her anchors and drifted between the coal hulks in the harbour, and had to obtain the services of a tug to tow her back to an anchorage.
